Looking for feedback on the new Tascam GT-R1 recorder
« on: September 13, 2008, 03:01:42 PM »
Hello:

The new Tascam GT-R1 recorder just arrived and it looks pretty good. I was wondering if anyone has had a chance to use it yet - looking for feedback.

You can see it here:

Thanks

Chris

I think the GT-R1 is the same as the DR-1, but with the
level of the 1/4-inch input changed from mic-in to line-in.
The preamp, the internal mics, the internal battery, and
everything else is the same for the two machines.

This one has the same problem as the DR-1:   Stops recording at the 2GB limit.  Tascam needs to get their sh*t together.     :-\

http://taperssection.com/index.php/topic,108124.0.html was the previous thread on this.

Also see http://taperssection.com/index.php/topic,110059.msg1470217/topicseen.html#msg1470217  - aha, this is a kind of spam thing, yes?  I see this offer is also being mentioned in totally unrelated threads.
