Best t-mount for Giant Squid mics?
« on: October 27, 2004, 01:20:08 AM »
Sorry, one more question ...

This t-mount had been recommended to me:

But, I have giant squid mics with the clips on them, so I don't see how the mics would be able to slide into the foam isolators.

What's the best way/best mount to mount the mics on a stand then?

i think it might be something you have to make yourself.  try finding a flat piece of metal, maybe weld that to a normal mic mount.  i bet that'd do the trick.

are they cards are omni's?  i've seen someone use a nerf football for mounting omnis with one on each side, simulating the binaural effect.

Because nothing says "I have lots of money and am sort of confused as to how to spend it" like Bose.

may seem like a silly question, but have you double checked to make sure the clips aren't removeable?

on giant squid mics they are soldered onto the body.  My advice would also be to just make your own out of a ruler and clip the mics onto the end.
