Determining a Streaming Bit Rate??
« on: November 17, 2006, 02:39:34 PM »
I was curious if someone knew of a way to determine exactly what the bit rate of a streaming audio file is.  I was hoping for an app similar to Mr QuestionMan that will tell you what it is for a hard file on your hdd, but in this particular case the site has a flash app that streams an audio file.

I only ask because I want to capture it accurately for my own listening purposes.

You can stream from a URL with Foobar2000, and it will tell you in the lower left hand corner the rate in kbit/sec.
