Hello,
I have been searching here, the net and xda-delveloprs for a way to pull the audio through my ua-5 rca out > Galaxy s4 3.5mm TRSS in. I would like to send out decent streams at shows using http://mixlr.com without having to also use a laptop.
The S4 seems to have 3.5mm TRRS according to http://www.jensign.com/S4Jack/index.html
Is this all I need to pull this off: http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1000104-REG/pearstone_mavc_101_5_mini_av_to_3.html
Is anyone doing this with a ua-5 or similar device?
Anyone using these on their cell phones to stream with: http://www.edutige.net/ (saw one of the models posted in another thread)
Thank you!
Joe

There's no provisions on the Android 1/8 jack for anything but single channel audio. A better bet might be a USB audio device. Samsung (and most Androids) support USB host mode and the kernel will support USB Audio 1.0 over USB 1.1 (yeah, it gets confusing). You'd probably need a custom kernel which means a rooted Android. I'm going to look into this. I use my Android (Nexus 5) as a bit bucket for the Transit USB audio device tied to my rig and it works pretty well.
