Waves V 9 Tech Support?
« on: March 26, 2012, 12:15:08 PM »
Hi folks.

I was excited to hear that Waves have FINALLY gone 64-bit, and ditched the iLok dongle! It's about time!

I purchase my upgrade and ... no joy. Their new License Center application is completely inaccessible. (I'm blind, so I use screenreading software to hear screen contents read aloud).

However they coded that application, it's invisible to my screenreader.

Anyway, I've been trying since Friday to fill out a tech support request at Waves' site, and always get "error 500, internal server error".
Has anybody else experienced this when trying to contact Waves tech support?

Or, does anyone know what the License Center is doing behind the scenes?  I'm hoping it is doing something like:
1. generate unique machine ID.
2. Send ID to Waves.
3. Retrieve licenses, and add license info to Windows Registry.

If License Center is just doing that, perhaps I can do that manually once I get ahold of someone at Waves.

Interestingly, version 9 is already cracked and on the torrent sites... that didn't take long. *LOL*

I have a fair bit of money invested in Waves products, and don't really want to use cracked software ... but, if it comes to that, I will. I can't afford the studio down time.
