Slim computers vs regular size...firewire card?
« on: August 18, 2007, 09:36:24 AM »
Sorry if this is the wrong place for this....I just bought a Dell Dimension C521. I went to install the firewire pci card (removed from the old computer), but the new computer is a slim version, so the card is too big. Do they sell the firewire pci cards to fit slim computers? Does the firewire work with Vista?

Thanks.

yes I think what you would need is a lowprofile pci card.
When I bought my firewire card they included a LP bracket to switch out in case the one attached to the card would not fit. I am assuming firewire still works for vista.
