Topic: Flash card preferences for Canon dSLR?

I have an A-data 2g 120x that works fine, but I'm shooting enough right now (and probably going to take the plunge and start shooting RAW only) that I should get a couple more cards.

I don't actually WANT to go to a 4g card - I find I'm lazy enough about clearing the smaller card so a bigger one will really get me messed up.  I'd actually prefer multliple 1g cards, but the ones I've seen have all been slow.

So (now that I've rambled to my point):

- any particular brands/flavors EOS owners have found particularly good or bad?
- what's the OPTIMUM speed card for a Rebel XT - is it possible to get one that's too fast for the camera?

newegg has some more A-data ones that are actually faster than the one I have, but figured I'd ask around first in case there are any known issues (or preferences).

I use  Kingston cards for my 40D, and even in my edirol r-09.

I've got a few Sandisk extreme III's 2GB, 4GB, 8GB - also a couple a-data 16GB. No problems with any of these.
I guess it depends on what you shoot, but I'd have a hard time getting by with 1GB cards.

I've been shooting jpg to date, although I'm just learning enough to go to RAW soon ... which would indeed make 1g inadequate!!

Glad to hear the A-datas are good for others - I've been happy with mine.

Not Canon (I shoot Nikon)  but I have Kingston, AData and SanDisk cards.  All work fine, but I think AData is awfully generous with their speed ratings.  I have a AData that says 266x and it is slower than my SanDisk ultra that is only supposedly 60x.  I'd also say that even if the card is "too fast" for the camera it does help when downloading images to the PC to have the faster card. 

Amazon has them for around $15 plus shipping.  Staples is running a deal at about $20 so you could always go for the instant gratification route and pick one up threre.

Actually,  Phano, my comment re "too fast" was because I remember reading of problems some early R09 users had when using sd cards that were too fast - glad to know it's not an issue with the camera.
