AKG CK1x clips/shocks?
« on: December 21, 2007, 11:15:48 AM »
These seem like they might work. And if they don't at least they were cheap.

http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/413714-REG/Audix_MC_MICRO_MC_MICRO_Microphone_Clip_with.html

Can any ck1x users or other active users chime in? Maybe with another solution for lopro stand mounting with an adjustable horizontal bar?

Do shockmounts for mics this size exist? Maybe from Neumann?

If I can't find something it's PVC in a crapped out AT8410.

Thanks

Edit: these ck1x are the ones with the straight side connector not the tapered kind.

also found these Senn clips but they are a little spendy http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/532997-REG/Sennheiser_MZQ_8001_MKH_8000_MINI_CLIP.html

This was my solution.  Has always worked very well for me.

you can always use a schoeps a20s shockmount, 2 schoeps actives clips and however many vark bar spacers you need for the spacing you want.
4. im so abrasive i make sandpaper nervous.

Dont use teh plastic Scheops mounts if you go this route.  The CX-1x are too big and will break them (it's happened to a few people on this board already).  Use teh meal Schoeps clip like I did.  Although you will still have to modify it to fit.

this is what I came up with on the fly, few more coats of paint and it should work for a while till I figure something else out. 2cm wider than true DIN but whatever.

+t for the advice
