a sliver sounds interesting ;D

sounds like fun to me...
I’ve had a few weird experiences and a few close brushes with total weirdness of one sort or another, but nothing that’s really freaked me out or made me feel too awful about it. - Jerry Garcia

I also did many hours of bit accuracy tests using the UA-5 optical out.
The culprit in Jamie's tests was the 'grey box' converter that did not reliably translate coax > optical.  Brian has proven that the Hosa box does.
My tests are here http://ca.geocities.com/dkleined@rogers.com/audio/bit/BitAccuracy.htm
