If I go to Korea and purchase a miniDV tape (which is NTSC)...would I be able to use it in my camcorder (US model NTSC)??

Yeah, miniDV tapes are the same wherever you buy them. There should be no issues using a tape purchased in South Korea in your US miniDV videocamera.

I live in Korea. If you're coming from the US, I'd recommend buying tapes and bringing them with you. They'll be a little cheaper in the US. Not a big difference in price, just a little bit cheaper for retail.
