its not top notch, but it beats my 10 year old optimus knock off that i have now.

will do, i figure i can upgrade the speakers and whatnot when i get more money, but this seems to be a solid beginner base.  and only $424 after tax, and i can go pick it up tonight at the local circuit city.

woohoo!  i'm so gonna watch LOTR in 6.1 surround sound dts tonight.  oh man :)

i think i have those same Onkyo speakers.  At first i didnt like them, but when i moved into the place i am living now, they shine!

well after a long weekend i finally hooked everything up.  I have to say its a nice little setup.  I need to get some better speaker wires and other misc and i don't quite have the speakers in the proper positions (theres a window in the way) but i'll be moving in august to a new house so i'm just gonna wait till then to see how much it can really do.  but for the time being, it sounds really good.  that yoshimi 5.1 dvd sounds awesome!

I think its time that i start looking into dvd-a players.
