anybody ever seen probs with your modsbm1?
« on: July 05, 2004, 07:46:34 AM »
apparently a friend of mine has had the exact same problem as myself with a modsbm1. Oade says its a failing OPamp. thats one of the things replaced in the line-mod apparrently, so im wondering if anyone else has seen an issue with one or both channels, were the level will drop un-explainedly. and any loud claps or bursts of music can cause a DC-offset.  check your wav's closely and zoom in on any weirdness you might here or see in the wavform.  this happenes intermittantly on mine unfortunately, so im sending back in for replacement of the opamps or whatever else he sees issue with

this is a dc-offset on the right channel. (notice the shift)

I had op-amps go bad on my modSBM-1 once.  No offset or odd happenings during spikes in gain, but the wavforms appeared to clip prematurely.  Doug said the op-amps were going and to send it back.  He promptly fixed it for free.
