Best way to do this kind of matrix
« on: April 20, 2012, 03:35:48 PM »
Stereo mic and a mono soundboard.  Should I double the SBD and mix the two sources that way, or split the channels and then mix the three tracks into two?  Using Wavelab 6, if it matters.

FWIW - when I've done this in the past (albeit not using Wavelab), I've doubled/copied the SBD to make a stereo track and then mixed it with the stereo AUD source.
Mics: AT853, MC930, AK40/AK50 > LC3 > KM100, ADK TL51
Cables: Audio Magic XStream silver, Kind Kables, Zaolla M1.5
Decks: D8, Busman Hybrid R4

Awesome. David said you were like The Wolf in Pulp Fiction. Shows up just in time with tons of gear, does a pro job, and disappears into the night! :-)
