4I've heard about hard drives failing and I don't want to lose all the music I have.  Wondering if there is a certain burner I should stay away from, any specific one people like alot?  I want to stay $100-$150's.  Needs to plug via firewire/usb external for my ibook.

whatever drive you choose, its usually media compatability issue that crops up most rather than constatnt failing. Always burn low speeds and verify after burn (nero has it).
