cross-fading set 2->encore
« on: May 19, 2007, 11:38:05 AM »
Hey Guys,
   I wanted to get some help.  I record to a Microtrack and with long second sets I often have to create new file for the encore.  So here are my questions.

I want to join the second set with the encore before normalizing. Would a cross-fade be the best option to connect the tracks and make it sound as close to seemless as possible?

Would I need to worry about SBEs in the middle of the track?  Maybe just trim the edges off CDwav before joing them?

Any thoughts or tips would be most appreciated!

Thanks Guys!

Jesse

thats basically what i do
overlap the files a little, "cut"/track it the way you want it, export the file as a new file and its one file joined together
99% of the time you can't hear it even when you know its there

If you use Adobe Audition, you can crossfade the 2 parts easily using the multi-track feature. You can then save the file as 1 file before loading in CDWave to track.

It will not create SBE's
