not sure about it working or not, but FYI, the UA5 will resample on the digi input...  but i don't think that the UA5 will record from digi and analog at the same time, since there is a switch that selects which to record from.  you could just run the V3 feed to another recorder, and send the UA5 feed to the MT, then matrix it all in post.  you will most likely have to deal w/ dif clocks if you do that though...

Yeah, that wouldn't work.  The UA-5 cannot blend digital and analog signals to output to S/PDIF or even usb.

the r4 wont do this either..  either spdf OR analog.. not both

you could cut out the V3 set of mics and go 2 mics + sbd though
you prob know that
Mics - AKG ck61/ck63 (c480b & Naiant actives), SP-BMC-2
XLR Cables - Silver Path w/Darktrain stubbies
Interconnect Cables - Dogstar (XLR), Darktrain (RCA > 1/8) (1/8 > 1/8), and Kind Kables (1/8f > 1/4)
Preamps - Naiant Littlebox & Tinybox
Recorders - PCM-M10 & DR-60D
