Title: Tips about AKG b29L
Post by: margilca on October 13, 2006, 08:15:06 AM
I found a brand new AKG b29L phantom power supply /mixer for about 43 Euros,
this seems to me a bargain.
I was thinking to buy it and use it as a portable phantom power supply for other mics, and save some
battery to my MT!!
Do you think is possible ? On AKG webpage is stated that is a "Power Supply and Mini-Mixer for MicroMic III Series"
but on the specs is listed:
Output: XLR-M phantom power protected
(max. 55 VDC)
Current consumption: max. 10 mA

Here is the link to AKG page for B29L
http://www.akg.com/products/powerslave,mynodeid,15,pid,42,id,42,_language,EN.html

Let me know any hint or tips about it.
Thanks
Cheers

looks like it only has single channel output, so it is mixing your two channels down to 1.

Yeps, so I would need 2 and the price is no longer a bargain, unless I hack it bypassing mix stage
Thanks
