Salvaging recording after battery died
« on: February 21, 2007, 01:18:10 PM »
Hey team.
Is there anyway to salvage a peice of a show where the external battery died.

Here is what happened.
Got about 50 minutes into Galactics set (external Wally dies...user error ..).  Put in AA's and finish out the rest of the set.

Go home to transfer to computer and part A (we will call it)... is not recognized by the computer but part B is (the second half).

Is all of the data from prior to the external wally lost?  Is there a way to salvage it?
Any recomendations?

THaks

Not sure what you mean by "recognized by computer".

Does the WAV file show up, with proper size, but can't be read by your WAV editor software?
Or does the WAV file show up with 0 byte file size?
Or does the WAV file not show up at all when viewing the R4 HDD's contents?
Or...something else?

Just had this happen to me, I didn't recharge my battery, made it all the way through til the end, then it died in front of my eyes. R4.

Now I've got a 0 kb file? Brian, can this be salvaged?
