Title: Post-Production Matrix question
Post by: Shipworthy on January 14, 2004, 10:45:32 PM
I know to make a matrix I need to perfectly align two sources using a pair of common beats at the beginning and end of the recordings, like was mentioned in the earlier thread.  But how do I stretch the length of one source to fit perfectly into the other source.  I'm using SoundForge now and it seems to leave the length of the selection the same when I use the Time Stretch process.  I can't figure out what it's changing.  Is there a better program to work with?   ???Thanks!

Thanks, I was playing around with cool edit pro and wasn't having a lot of luck, not as user-friendly as sound forge.  I'll try out wavlab though.

I notice that these programs will time stretch to a 1/1000 of a second, but not to a specific sample length.  Is that precise enough to avoid phasing problems.  Can the difference be heard?  Or am I just missing the way to make it sample specific?  Thanks.
