I've been looking around a little for some akg>p-mod tapes and havent really turned any up. 480's or 460's I'd like to know what each sounds like with the p-mod.
Has anybody run this? Thoughts...
I'd love to b&p some samples, I'm stuck in the stone age, no d/l possible.

FWIW bush, i really like the 390>pmod tapes from rhys on this board
so i bet the 480's would SMOKE

I'm wondering what it would sound like with the 460's in front.
I've heard lots of tapes with the w-mod in front, but I havent seen very many of any p-mod sources with he 480's or the 460's.
I have both akgs at my disposal and was looking for something to do a little playing with, maybe even downgrade from the v3 for a while :o
if it sounds good.

would a p-mod be too bright for the akg's?

Dunno, Havent heard any tapes???
The d-mic20 isnt too bright for the akg's, it actually sounds really nice with them. I was thinking the p-mod might be in the same ballpark...sound wise and matchup wise.
I hope to find some samples, otherwise I'll be the guy testing the combo out.

you going to sell the V3 to me. Or just keep it?

I'm tossing the idea around of trading UA-5's with JDS in vegas for a set or maybe a show with AKG 393's. He has a P-mod, I have a W-mod. Would be interesting to see what the diff is.

Did a little searching on the archive. Great place to check out different setups.

Here are a few that specifically say pmod...there are others that just say mod UA-5.

I actually run the AKG 393s and will buy the p-mod later this week. I'll be using it over the weekend so I'll try to get some clips up to show what you'll get with the combo.

+T gazda. That would be great.

I dunno, riding the fence on keeping it :hmmm:
I'd like to find something else I really like first. I haven't even rolled the 460's but twice, both with not so great results.
Its HARD to beat that c422> v3 I ran this fall...tooo damn bad that thing was only a loaner.

I run 460's in front of the Digi-MOD. I personally like the 460 -> V3 combo but don't have the $$$ for the V3
I would be interested in hearing the P-Mod difference as well. I was going to make a decision on which MOD to get (OADE did the digi-MOD) after running the stock pre-amp.
