Need help
« on: December 05, 2005, 01:58:24 AM »
I've recorded a few shows with my new OKM-II R mic and Sony MZ-NH900 Hi-MD and while mastering recordings with Adobe Audtion I noticed that although the balance sounds even the right channel looks more amplified. I tried recording with both binaural and clip-on methods dead-center and the result is always the same.

Can you suggest what the problem could be? Again, when you listen to the recording the balance seems right and if you amplify or normalise the left channel to graphically match the right channel it'll sound louder.

Jacob.

Might not be a problem at all - perhaps "normal and to be expected" - not unusual for a recording to sound balanced but look a little lopsided in the editor...say if the bassist is on the left...the left channel might look a little different...
