Title: Need Favor From Someone with Reel-to-Reel
Post by: BayTaynt3d on April 18, 2006, 02:26:47 PM
So, my wife was a journalism major way back in the day, and one of her school projects was to record a "fake" radio ad. This is something like 20 years old at this point, and I'm just dying to hear this thing, but the problem is that it's on a reel. Now, I know absolutely nothing about reels, but this one is a pretty thin-looking tape, not a fat tape. I can get more info if you need it from the tape at home, but I was wondering if anyone would be willing to make a digital transfer of this thing for me. I thinks it's only a few minutes long tops (although who knows what else might be on the reel?), so it shouldn't be too hard. I'd take any sort of dub you could make actually, to tape, to CD, to digital, whatever. If anyone feels like helping me out with this, let me know, and I'll send you the reel in the mail. THANKS!

If it's 1/4" I can do it.  (reel 10.5 or less, 7.5 or 15ips)

I've got this right now at my house thanks to Kirk.  Real nice machine!
