Title: CROAKIE MOUNTING SERVICE

I was wondering if anyone here is REAL GOOD at mounting mics into croakies.   :)  I have a few sets of mics that I would like to have mounted.  I've done some mounting myself and the results look "sloppy"  :facepalm: to say the least.  Any thoughts?  Anyone up for doing this service?  Let me know and I'll order the croakies from Amazon, ship them directly to you and send you the mics as well.

Sound Pros will install mics into them; they might be willing to do it.

Otherwise I bet a local seamstress/tailor could do it....

I ordered a pair of Croakie mounted CA-11's from Chris Church. The "Croakies" and mics were separate, so I had to fish them through myself, but the results are pretty decent. It matters what shape of glasses. You can see I found ones that had a fat stem. Skinnier stems are more obvious and the mics tend to roll.
This was my best result (pictured). I recorded at a "no recording allowed" Jazz Club a couple weeks ago, with the glasses/mics on the Seahawks cap, the cap on our table concealing the preamp and recorder.
The Croakies he sells are good for this purpose. I think I will be able to get my AT853's in here in similar fashion. I believe he will sell the Croakies separately from the mics.

I followed these instructions from Sound Pros to work with my white AT-933's. You need the Suiters model of Croakies:

nice
