As far as I know it saved, start another but looses some 5 sec from the recording in between. A good idea is to stop and restart a recording before that happenes, depending on bit rate etc used. The MT will tell you remining time so you will be able to plan ahead.

The internal MT A/D is pretty hideous sounding, very brittle IMHO. I only used it once without an external A/D, but from what I heard, that will be the last time I ever do that. Other people have different opinions on it.
