if i have say a 95 minute dat tape and i tape at 44.1khz how much time can i accually recond on that tape?

unlike recording to a hard drive, dat/dds tapes use the same amount of physical space regardless if you record at 44.1k or 48k...in other words, if you have a 95min dat tape it will record 44.1k or 48k for about 95 mins(most tapes have an extra min or so).

the only time this is not true is if using a D8/D100/M1 at 32K...you get double the rated time of the tape(but at lower quality due to less samples)

me too...and 90m maxells, have about 6 or 7 extra minutes
