I've gone back through a couple of pages of recording gear here and I can't see it mentioned...
Has this been 'about to arrive' for a while? I've never seen it before...

There was a thread around NAB last year that had pics and an initial impression. Haven't seen anything since then in terms of promo materials or whatnot.

As of right now, there's not a whole lot out there at all, either here on ts.com or on the web. I was REALLY interested in this when I was scoping out a new high end recorder. I went so far as to contact one of the US retailers just before Christmas and inquire about price and delivery. TS.com's John Willett (also a UK-based gear distributor) gave me some thoughts and helped direct me to a US distributor. The price came in around $3100 for a base unit and delivery was said to be the start of this year, so if that's true then these should be either shipping or close. I ended up going with a second-hand SD744T mainly because I found an awesome price on the 744 and that I didn't want to pay that much to essentially be a beta tester on one of the first delivered Nagra VII units. But I'm still really curious about the VII and what it sounds like.

Ah, I see...!
Thanks TSN for posting that catalogue link- I'd missed that.
Interestingly bh Photovideo have it on pre-order and then it's timecode capable brother the "seven TC" which is a bit more.

Yes, there are a couple of options to the base unit, including adding timecode and a wifi card. If I remember correctly, the fully loaded unit with both options came in around $4500.

I recently read on a French forum that the first one was sold in 2013, october (or october 2013? ???).
