Mirco Track Question
« on: March 21, 2007, 09:36:10 PM »
Alright, so I've been using Zee's 722 for a while now, and haven't pulled out my MT for probably 6 months.  Well he wants to use it for the upcoming panic shows, so I"m back to the MT.  I need to upgrade the firmware.  What is the latest firmware that has been tested, tried, and true?  Anything I need to know before upgrading.

Thanks!

-Brad

Hey Brad,

I cannot recall how long the newest firmware has been out, but it is the best to date. You will have no problems with it.

We are just starting to thaw here in MN. Hope all is well. The link is below.

How is the autoslit?  What about the double tap of the record button?  Either working well?

i have not tried the autosplit
never had it be at the "right time"
i have tried the double tap and it works for me sometimes
i say sometimes because i think you need to hit it perfect, to fast or to slow and it doesn't work--at least for me
so i have been sticking to what works for me
stop > save > start
it only takes a sec or two longer but works for me

You'll miss a few sec of music with autosplit (or any split)...

I wish they could update us with a new firmware to correct the problems with some recorders...My one does not start recording unless I press REC twice. First time I press REC it says media full or wrong media speed or some other error message. Maybe it only happens with digi-in at 24/96. Another thing I wish they will fit is the FF & RW feature which acts like a pause button if pressed at a middle of a long track.

I have to admit I never play with it either. I used the double tap a few times with no problems, but I usually record 16 bit.
