DPA 406x/407x shockmount ideas?
« on: March 30, 2005, 09:26:51 AM »
Anyone got any ideas on making shockmounts for DPA miniature mics?  I'm pretty sure its going to be a DIY project, and I just want to see if anyone has done such a thing before, so I can totally steal their idea... lol

Tickets are dead to me.  Except the ones I have, don't have, and lost.  Not to mention the ones you have, don't have, and lost.   And the ones that other dude has, doesn't have, and lost.  Let me know if you need some tickets, I'm happy to oblige.

keep in mind that omnis aren't as prone to handling noise as cards are.

IOW, shockmounts might not be necessary?

I have been thinking of a dowel in a 'lux shockmount (or a regular mic clip).   Drill holes in the dowel for the mics to fit into.  I did find a cool pic of someone using a small football for HRTF... I'll prolly do that!

thanks Moke +t
