Topic: SP-CMC-2 line-in or mic-in? please help

I'm experimentig with my new mics (soundprofessional cmc-2)
and noticed that the bassroloff filter is not working good when i'm going line-in on my MD recorder.

When i'm using the bass filter with the MIC-in everything sounds OK, but are the MICS powered by the Battery filter this way or by the recorder's plug-in power?

And will I be able to record loud concerts? (metal/rock) i never used the mic-in only line-in.. oh yeah my recorder is a SONY MZ-RH10 it has the MIC sensitivity settings..

I hope i can get some feedback and maybe other people who use the MIC in for loud concerts can let me know how the sound is..

you use a battery box with bass roll correct?
change the setting on the bass roll
their should be 8 little switches, 4 per channel--depending on how they are set it will raise or lower the bass roll

i am not sure if you go mics > bb > mic in what powers what but in my experience i always got better recordings using line in and had no probs with my bass roll
so if i had to guess, and if i recall the box comes set at the lowest lever or even with no bass roll
so change the settings and i think you will be ok

ps--i normally roecorded dmb and set it at 96 or whatever the level is around that

yeah i know the pins on the roll off filter, but i have it on 888Hz and still the bass is very heavy.. When i go mic-in with the same settings, the bass is more filtered then with line-in.

Is there anything else i can o to filer the bass (with line-in)?

There are some threads on bass roll off around here somewhere that I have read before.
