Any suggestions on reputable, reasonable, and reliable venues to procure vacuum valvery ?
Need not be NOS, but something that will last a while

I've always used the Tube Depot or the Tube Store. I've always had decent service from both.

Thanks, sorry, I did not realize that the original title was a vendor name.
Running joke among friends in the day, to go to the tube store !  (yes, these places did exist... Elmhurst Tube and Electronics, etc., generically... "the tube store")
We'd pack up the car and take the family to the tube store     ;D
A new pair of sweep tubes for Mom's TV soap-operas !
Some 12BT7's for the pre amp of Jenny's suitcase record player!
Dad would buy a quieter detector for the shortwave, so the European polka stations would be hiss-free!
I'd get to buy some JAN 811a's to power out an RF oscillator and screw-up the neighborhood's TV reception trying to send morris-code to Chile'

Ah, the nostalgia, the tube store...

Anyhow, I'm starting off with some JJs and found a few locals to swap and roll with in the process.

If I don't find satisfaction in the effort, I'm going back to the powered planars and a bit-bucket source.

Try Upscale Audio. They have a huge selection of tunes, both NOS and current.  Very reputable vender and extremely knowledgable about tubes.

...I've used them periodically and find them a valuable/reliable resource for tubes and more just as their registered domain name suggests.  In addition to tubes they also carry repair parts for vintage gear such as leslie speaker motors, amps, radios, guitars etc.  Have found their prices are extremely better than my local vintage radio shop.

That brings back memeories....my father had a desk full of Drake B Line and C Line Ham Radio equipment in the late 70's thru the 80's...at the end was his Drake L4B...finals looked like large jelly jars...they glowed real good too...

he runs a Kenwood or Yeasu or something now...but the L4Blaster is still running at the end of the line when he wants to be heard....
