I'm sure a bunch of people use the Petrol PS607, but has anyone used the Sachtler model? Should be a nice bag, but wondering if it's identical or any differences I should know about before ordering one. B&H is only selling the Sachtler.
Thanks

Not sure of any differences between the two but B&H is only carrying the Sachtler because the parent company, Vitec Video, phased out the Petrol brand, which would explain the steep discounts on Petrol earlier this year, so any new Petrol bags are somebodies old stock.

For those unfamiliar, examples of Sachtler's small (SN607) and large (SN602) offerings...

It is my understanding that the Sachtler bags are essentially identical to the Petrol bags they are replacing. Different logo and that is about it. Looking at the pictures of the Sachtler 607, compared to my PS607, the only difference I see (other than the logo) is the red interior; it's orange on the Petrol...

Yes, I think they are identical (or very close) other than the colors and badging. I ordered the Sachtler and I'm pretty impressed... very nice bag.
