Title: MBHO Windscreen Q
Post by: stevetoney on May 16, 2007, 06:43:35 AM
Speaking of screens, with the upcoming outdoor schedule around the corner, I've never run the HO actives's outdoors.  I picked up some heavy/dense foam screens that are about 2 1/2 or 3 inches in diameter for these mics, but before I find out the hard way in a real taping situation that these might not be adequate, can anyone guess whether these screens should be enough for most breezy situations?

I'm asking because I'm wondering whether or not dead rats over the screens are needed.  T'anks.

I need to run low cut or have some dead rats on to really beat the wind w/ my HOs and the DPA windscreens.  I have never tried the shures.  I also had great success w/ the schoeps basket windscreens w/ the rycote furries.

The best hands down. A little pricey but well worth it :)

They work great with my HO actives
