ISO crash course in MicrotrackII cards. What works for cheapish?

I sort of drunk ebayed a Microtrack II last night and won it. Supposedly has about 10 hours on it. Is there a way to check that by the way? It doesn't have a card from what I gather. I probably don't need a huge capacity. Maybe 4-8GB. Anyone have a good vendor? Stay away from ebay? What is a good price for 4-8GB?
Thanks!

Can I walk into Besy Buy and pick up something that will work? I've been searching for info. Seems like there is a Class order to cards. What am I looking for? Class 1? Not Class 4? Seems like Sandisk Ultra is adaquate. Can I buy one off the shelf? I'll have this recorder soon and would love to get a card ASAP.

Clinton, I don't think most folks read this sub board. I think you should post in the Recording Gear board to get the feedback you want.

Your probably right. I wanted to try to be in the "right place". I ended up buying a 4gb Sandisk Extreme III that has 30MB/s for $50 at Staples. I hope it works okay. I probably could have gotten it cheaper online but was in a hurry!!! Any feedback on this card?

Haven't used the Extreme IIIs but have two 4GB and one 8GB Extreme IIs and have had zero problems with any of them in Fostex FR2, FR2LE or MicroTrack 24/96 decks (nor the gf's camera that takes a compact flash card). You shouldn't have any problems.
