Inspired by this thread:
http://taperssection.com/index.php?topic=149215.0I decided to test the frequency response of the mic-in and line-in inputs of my Tascam DR-2D.
First I generated white noise (in a 24 bit / 48khz aiff file) in Sound Studio, and ran a Fourier spectrum analysis on it:
I then played this signal back through USB out > Lyrix Headstage > Tascam DR-2D at 24/44.1, either mic-in or line-in.
Both mic-in:
And line-in:
Appear to have pretty flat frequency response.
Please let me know if you see any flaws in this methodology.
Edit: Low cut set to OFF, of course.
