to transfer dats to your HD digitally, you will need a 7-pin to run a digital signal either on the input or output
once you have that, you will need a software program to capture the dat recording digitally, there are free programs like audacity and cdwave that can record from dat, but do some research on them
there are also nicer editing software programs ala wavelab, sound forge, cool edit pro, samplitude, etc
you will prolly have to tweak your computer to record w/ out droppiung pops/clicks in your recording, playing around w/ the buffers and whatnot too
once it ios transferred onto your HD successfully, if it was recorded in 48k, it has to be resampled to 44.1k for use w/ cd's, then tracked out in cdwave, and if you like, compressed losslessly in SHN or FLAC format;-)
