Still debating C4 vs Superlux set. How usefull are hypers for small venue taping? What are my pros and cons on them.

hypers are pretty essential in a chatty room - you will get much more directionality which will greatly reduce chatter. a lot will emphasize or boost the higher frequencies and may not sound as natural as a pair of cardiods.
