Thinking of running omni's tomorrow for Flecktones.....
« on: August 13, 2006, 09:25:04 PM »
So I've been taping with C4s for a while now but I have not used the omni caps yet.  I figured I could give them a shot tomorrow, at least for the openers.

Show is at Pier 6 in Baltimore..for those who are not familiar....its is a mini outdoor amphitheatre that holds about 3k-4k (I think....). I will most likely be running DFC just behind the SBD....which is I think about 30 rows back.

I can space the mics as far as 15 inches apart with the bar combos I have.  Does anyone here have any tips for this venture?

if possible bring a clamp. run one on your stand and clamp the other one to someone else's stand 4-8 feet away. make sure the mics are lined up (neither is closer to the stage).

split omnis rock outside.
