That would very cool

I know i saw some post about someone doing this.

Well, I'm not sure how is goes in your neck of the woods, but up here in the northeast it rains for most of every festival I've ever went to. My chances of solar powering my rig for festi's are slim to none if I don't leave the northeast. ;) ;D

nice find for sure!
For $36 its not a bad investment just to see if it can work but I wouldn't be surprised if it didn't do too well. Years ago I had a solar powered double a battery charger and it didn't seem to be that great.
Someone going to buy it and test this out?

ANd 6 volt version too:

Is 60-70mA enough to power a rig?

Alot of the best music happens after the sun goes down, but it could be a good option for saving batteries until then, as long as it worked.
Taper: Dude, a) STFU, and b) you're blocking my light!
Dude: FUTaper!

Solar panels don't produce enough current to effeceintly run a rig. You could use them to charge your batteries (i.e. all day long instead of in 3-4 hours off a wall charge, etc) A wind array or a methane combustion system (based off wook shroom gas) would probably be better served.
You would need a huge solar array to get any real current out of them.

12V/400ma Might be enough for most rigs.....
