After tiring of charging multiple RC car batteries for a single show, I picked up one of these at Best Buy for ~72 dollars (had a gift card... I'd have probably sought out a cheaper online source otherwise) for my minime:

http://www.energizerbatteries.com/productdetail.asp?device=DVD&prodcode=30102

I added a RatShack "m" adaptaplug to the included energizer cable (it fit like a champ) to connect it to the MiniMe (the battery and cable do come with 5 plugs, but none fit the MME very well).  Theoretically, it should power the MME for ~8 hours (5.5w/9.6v = .5729; 4.5aH/.5729 = 7.854).  I ran a test last night before heading to bed to see how long it actually ran while powering my 481s and feeding my MTII via the AES out, but I didn't have a chance to check my results before heading to work.  I'll post an update when I have one, but the prospect of charging a single battery the night before a show and having plenty of time on that single battery for a show is enough to have sold me.

I thought these "gray DVD player batteries" came in two varieties... the 4500mah NiMH, and the 5400mah Lithium Ion

Well I just found some with 8800mah, so that's twice as much as my ones I got last year.  They are $55 each, and I found if I bought two of them it's free shipping.  These should run the R4 for a while.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
For the guys who are more DIY'ers, I also bought some other batteries (not plug and play dvd player batteres).  They are the blue Sony 18650's which are 2400mah x 3.7 V, and 2x3.7=7.4V which is perfect for the V3.  So a brick of 6 cells (2 series x 3 parallel) will give me a V3 battery with 7200mah, which should run the V3 for 8hours.
Some kind soul, who's handle I forget at the moment, +T him,  ;D
gave me this link when I was looking for a battery to plug into a DC input
instead of using internal batteries or an outlet.
I've only used it a handful of times so far, but I'd have to say this thing is the cat's meow, so to speak.
http://www.batterybarn.com/pr2310.htm
it has settings for various voltage and interchangeable tips to match your device.
This thing will even power my old Tascam Porta07 at 12V DC!
and has the crucial, but hard to find (in Japan, at least) 5V setting as well.
The only thing it lacks is USB compatibility... but for us Luddites, that's no problem.  ::) ;D lol
What's more, they even shipped it to me in Japan!!!!!
Now that's service!
on lead guitar and as many chicks he can find
Sony TCS-60 (1999 - 2003)
Aiwa CM-P22 in rolled-up socks > Sharp MD-DR7S (2003 - 2007)
Studio Projects C4s > Marantz PMD660 (stock) (Oct. 2007 - )
also: Tascam Porta07 / Yamaha mg102c
I've been using this for 36Wh Li-Ion battery for 2 years now and it's still going strong to power the V3. Lightweight, 3-12V range, bunch of connectors and recharging options.  I'd get another in a heartbeat.
