Okay, been meaning to post some pics for awhile, finally got around to taking some pictures this weekend.

Nothing special, it's definitely kind of a minimalist system. It sounds better than anything I've had before, though, and probably better than what's in 99% of American homes!

Almarro A205A mk2
Horn Shoppe Horns
NAD PP1 Phono Preamp
NAD 521i CD Player
Old Denon Turntable
Grado Black Cartridge
AntiCables Speaker Wire
Cheapo, no-name Interconnects and Power Cords

Rack and one Horn:

Long live vinyl!

A horn:

Looking down on the room from the upstairs balcony:

And, just for grins, the bedroom setup (super cheap DVD player for CD playback, T-Amp, old Cambridge Soundworks Ensemble II satellites). Good enough for listening while reading in bed!

That's a beautiful room/house. I like the stereo a lot, horns+tubes+vinyl sounds like a winning combo to me ;D
I’ve had a few weird experiences and a few close brushes with total weirdness of one sort or another, but nothing that’s really freaked me out or made me feel too awful about it. - Jerry Garcia

Exactly what I was thinking! Plus T to you.
I know you like, tape for people's approval and stuff, and wave your tapes around like they're your dick...  but even you can't actually think section tapes from philips sound good.

Backatcha both!

Even though there are things I would like to upgrade, there are many, many times where I am just overwhelmed with how good the music is. I've only had the Almarro and Horns since last Christmas, and I still feel like I'm discovering all of my old music all over again!

we are in the process of finishing our 1500sq/ft basement with a home theater, game room , office, and family room.
the home theater is going to double as my listening room. i'll post some pics as we make progress.

The gear pictured is what in my sig. The tables got a grado gold that'll need to be replaced soon I think. Cables are just dh labs and mil-spec for speakers, upgrade wishlist item for sure. There's a PS Audio Duet in there too. The wall with the tapestry was built with the help of NickPick's. The room was open to a staircase and the living room on the other side. It was a fantastic sub $100 tweak for sure. I rent so we had to do it without damaging the house. It's a fun system and my only neighbor is basically deaf. I've never had a problem giving it some anytime I desire.

Here's a better pick from the listening position with fresh snow today.

Creek OBH-8, SqueezeBox3, Benchmark DAC1, Odyssey Tempest, Nad C-541i, Odyssey Stratos, Bellogoti rack, Nickpick's DEAD-END acoustic dampener

Thanks George. Things are good, do hope the same is for you. Looks from the sig that your rig keeps growing nicely. Hopefully I'll have one again in the coming year.

yup, thats a good rig right there.  spent plenty of time on that couch....wondering where the music was *actually* coming from as those speakers disappear.  Its like all the music is being projected by the Squeezebox or something
cool stuff right there

Duh on my part too. It does makes more sense to post it with the pics then in a sig that's sure to change. I went back and added some details. Cheers
