Title: are "stubby" XLR connectors any less reliable/durable than regualr connectors?

should I worry about the durability of these homeamde connectors? Are they just as reliable, and worthy of being in the field?

I think most folks who use stubbie connectors keep them attached to the device and in a bag.  While they are wonderful (at least the HiHo Silver's) I do not think they'd last real long if you were taking them in and out repeatedly.

dave's rght. i just had a pair that were stubby on the mic end recently fail on me after months of abuse.
