Topic: clipping sounds

I just recorded a local band here in AZ "the might 602 band"and for some reson the last few songs have what sound like loud mics noises....I had nobody around me and I only adjusted the mics once...the second band I taped that night Morgan Heritage came out perfect.....Is there anyway to remove those loud noises..i tried sound forge8 but it won't remove all the clipped part for some reason...any help would be great...
