Title: How to split stereo track into separate tracks Audacity 1.3.3 ?
Post by: memphiskat on December 29, 2007, 11:44:58 AM
I have a stereo track in Audacity version 1.3.3 on an iMac 10.4
I want to split the stereo track so that I can apply compression, limiting, normalization, ect to
each side (left/right) independently.  I used to do this a long time ago with cool edit to even out
the sound level in each track.

How do I do this in Audacity 1.3.3d?
The "faq" explains how to do it in 1.2 as "split stereo track", but this is not an option in 1.3
I tried "select all" then  Edit:Split, and Edit:Disjoin, with no effect.  Does anyone know how to do this?

Sorry  ;D

I see that I read the faq wrong and it is in 1.3.3
It's not in a drop down menu from the top, but in the menu on the track itself that comes up when
you click the arrow to the right of the track name.  My mistake.
