removing hiss and cymbal splash with audacity
« on: November 02, 2007, 04:23:27 PM »
I just recorded a band with a SBD patch and heard quite a bit of hiss during quiet passages and there is quite a bit of cymbal splash. Maybe too much high end. Is there a way to tame this with Audacity or should I go to another program?

you can try rolling off the high end but a constant hiss is going to be occuring in frequencies where audio is also occuring.  Try using Bias Soundsoap.
Really not very evil at all now...
