Suggestions for my delivery cars sound upgrade?
« on: July 22, 2005, 09:07:51 PM »
Well I'm totally fed up with my crappy car speakers and need to upgrade the system.  I've been a bit out of the car audio scene for a while so I'm not totally up on what's actually worth the money these days and what's name brand hype.  I am not looking for the best by any means, the car is a 93 Escort Wagon...so yeah, just a mid to upper level sound quality.  I'd especially like something capable of handling the bass information from live recordings since that's mostly what I'm listening to if I'm not listening to some metal stuffs.  I'll cap my budget at around $300 and I don't need a head unit, just components and POSSIBLY a pair of subs if there's any out there which sound NATURAL and are affordable as well.  Currently the car just has door speakers in the front and then rear deck speakers.  So what's worth the cash, has high bass handling capabilities, sounds natural, is kind of affordable, and where will I find a great price?

In the past I've upgraded the wiring for high output stereos in cars but I'm not really sure if I need to go through the trouble for a car like this...it's for pizza delivery.  Yay or nay?

Thanks guys.
Really not very evil at all now...
