altering 4022's questions
« on: June 20, 2007, 03:23:03 PM »
I am wondering about changing my 4022's to have RA connectors on the ends.  I am guessing that this would kill any warranty, but they are several years old, so warranty is probably out the window anyway?
second, could I send them to DPA for them to do this?  Do they do that kind of thing?  I looked on their website, and the only contact I could really find was Bruce Meyers, but that was a sales contact.  Anyone have any other contacts/ideas??

thanx

From everything I've heard.. DPA customer service is A++++++++ so don't do anything to void that warranty!

there is active circuitry in the xlr's, so i'm not sure if they can physically be made into right angle connectors.

as for contact info, you can contact one of the mic techs (doyle) at dpa in colorado with this info:

Have you considered selling the 4022's and looking for some 4021's instead?  The 4021 has the side mounted cable.

Why not get a shorty XLR(F) to RA XLR(M) to put on the end?
