A couple of weeks ago, I heard a loud crash in the back bedroom. I went back, and the old shelf in the closet had collapsed, and the clothes and everything stored were on the floor (the LP's were not amongst this mess).
So I was motivated to rebuild the shelf, and used it as an opportunity to build a heavy use / LP storage shelf.
From about two weeks ago;
http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v729/MokePics2/Closet_LP_Storage_Rack/$30 sheet 3/4" ply (finish-1side) cut by Lowes (this service basically equals nearly free lumber, as compared to the time to set up ripping a piece of plywood)
$5 for some 1x2
$40 plastic lp index cards, alum. channel, sundries
So, for about $75 I got 8' of storage (about 7/8+ full)
