Topic: T-bar for the Active Cables/Clips for AKG 390's

Hey.  
I just scored a pair of the Active Cables for the AKG 390's, and i also got the Clips for them...they look like they will slide into some sort of Tbar, and i wondered if any of you knew of a Tbar designed for them?  I think i may just Duct Tape them to my Shure Vert Bar, but i wouldnt mind getting something i can actually fassen them to.  I have heard of a Flex Bar, that some people use for there stealth mics...Does anyone know a retailer, or have a used one they want to get rid of?

So tell me where you found the active cables....I have shied away from them mainly because they were pricey everywhere I found 'em!  

With regards to the mount, I would just get the diameter of the mic caps and call a good retailer and ask them questions as to whether a Neumann, DPA, Scheops, etc. active mount may fit them....

There was someone who posted a while ago with a link to the person who is making these active mod's (for lack of a better term).

There's a pic of them in a T bar at the site.  It was home made and consisted of some PVC pipe which you fed the caps through with the cables and then some sort of mounts for them to go on.. Then they used an old AT8410a shockmount and stuck the PVC bar through it and screwed the shockmount onto the stand.

Pretty engenious use of the shockmount I thought, it might be worth seeking out the website, damned if I can remember it though

I watched some.. While it was 0 to 0 I wasn't too entertained, once it became 0 to 2 it was pointless

I did enjoy the game on Saturday though

big hockey fan here, and I enjoyed the finals, but I gotta say, NJ fans showed they were classless yet again, booing Giguere when he was awarded the MVP....god knows he deserved it....

I just got really lucky.  Another taper than i have met at Various shows in NYC...Frank "Weresmymul"Dawid, used to run the Bluelines, and has since upgraded. He still has the Bluelines as a Back-up mic set, but when he originally bought them, he told me he got everything(390's,91's,93's,98shotguns,and the actives)as a package deal.  He said since he doesnt use them anymore he would sell them to me cheap.  Frank is a really great guy...he sold me the 98 Shotgun caps AND the actives for $100 TOTAL!!!!!!!!! This all happened this weekend, when we were taping the Mule show in Central Park...he Priority Mailed them to me, and i got them yesterday...just intime for Bonnaroo
So that is where i got them from...i dont really know where he got them, but if you want, i can send him an email, and ask.

I heard back from frank, and he told me he bought them (everything)Years Ago at Sam Ash.  He thinks they were on Close-Out so he got a great deal originally on them.
I doubt you will be able to find them at Sam Ash anymore though.

I emailed the JK Labs about the T-Bar in npsinboro's post, but my email to both of the email addys that were listed, got kicked back...so i guess they are out of business.

I think i may have givin people +t, and -t by accident, when i was exploring the board.
