I've been reading up on better ways to control my metering while recording and it looks like running a SVUx out of my JB3 is the best solution. My problem is the calibration of the SVUx, since I don't have any mics yet.
At the moment I'd be running:
SBD > patching cables > Oade digi-modded UA5 > optical cable > JB3 > SVUx
Any suggestions until I get some mics? I've seen some threads where people use this combination and I am wondering how they calibrated their SVUx? Any help will be much appreciated, thanks.

Just feed the UA5 from your stereo

Just feed the UA5 from your stereo
or from your comp using white noise
just hook a 1/8 from the headphone jack > UA-5

Sounds easy enough, I was expecting to hear something a lot different after reading the Team SVUx thread. Big thanks for answering my questions guys. +T
I will report back after I get my SVUx.
