the much smaller and lighter (and I bet less expensive) akg tbar works just fine for all near-coincident micing techniques with ld's...

for coincident techniques I ran one mic on top of the stand and clamped the other...

I have been using this for a while now and really like it.  The two outside mounts are completely adjustable and have allowed for a great deal of freedom of placement.  The middle mount is great for an umbrella or another set of mics as needed...

i thought about buying this to run spaced omnis, but I'm wasn't sure if the distance was big enough.  If you get it lmk.

I have one of these but it only has one set of mounts.  It is also missing one of the adapters.  That being said, you can have it if you want to send me a B+P type package for it.  PM me.

Here is a picture from a show at the Rams Head in Annapolis, MD

My ADK's are spaced approx 26 inches apart and wrap around the column... serves as a psuedo Jeklin Disk.  Tape came out great.  The schoeps in the middle served as a baseline for comparison. 

If you have something in the middle the spacing is fine.  Also, remember the middle peg could be used to mount a Jeklin Disk/Baffle on it.
